What is pickleball?

A paddle sport that blends tennis, badminton and table tennis — easy to learn, social by nature, and fun for every age and fitness level.

The court

Played on a badminton-sized court (about a third of a tennis court) with a low net — indoors or outdoors.

The gear

A solid paddle and a plastic ball with holes. You need very little to start, which is why it is so accessible.

The scoring

Games are usually played to 11 points, and you must win by 2. Points are scored only by the serving side.

The kitchen

A non-volley zone near the net where you cannot hit the ball out of the air — it rewards touch over power.
