Questions
- How does the paddle finder work?
- Each answer adds weight to a target profile across six measured attributes — power, control, spin, pop, forgiveness and maneuverability. Every paddle in our catalogue is scored against that profile, filtered by your budget, and the three closest fits are returned with the reasoning.
- Is this the same as a brand's paddle selector?
- No. Brand selectors only recommend that brand's paddles. This quiz scores across every brand we track, using published review scores from independent reviewers plus official approval data.
- What if a paddle has no published scores?
- Some paddles only appear on a curated tier list without numeric scores. They still enter the ranking, but they are scored on tier and price alone and the result is labelled so you know the difference.
- Should I buy the number one match?
- Treat it as a shortlist. A quiz cannot replace hitting with a paddle. If you can demo the top match and one alternative at a local club or retailer, do that before committing.
- How often is the paddle data updated?
- The catalogue is refreshed by a scraper that runs on a weekly schedule, pulling approval dates, prices and review scores from public sources.
- Do you earn money from the recommendations?
- Where a retailer link is an affiliate link we may earn a commission. It does not change the scoring — the ranking is produced before any retailer link is attached.
